More Hare, Less Hair

Man, last Saturday, May 14th. was a busy day I tell you. Per the usual, I got up at 5:30, took Dad downstairs had some coffee and started basketball practice. Oh, but this was no ordinary basketball practice, you see, because the Easter Bunny made a second trip to my house and dropped off a basketball hoop on Friday. I must have been an even better little boy than I originally thought for the Easter Bunny to show up again. Usually, I work on my chest passes in the early morning, but with the new ball in hand Dad and I started working out outlet passess. I'm thinking we'll start doing a little three man weave here pretty soon. I have to be careful, though, if Dad thinks I'm not hustling hard enough I hear "Alright, get on the line" and me makes me run killers.

Dad says it's really important to be good at sports because nobody ever made money reading. Sunday, Dad took me out and I made my first basket on the new hoop.

I also learned how to dunk. Keep in mind...this is a regulation sized hoop.

And, yes Grandma...I prefer to wear my hat backwards. Mom and Dad put it on the "correct" way, but I turned it around. It just looks cooler.

Here is video evidence of the Easter Bunny's return. I'm hoping to capture some Bigfoot video later this summer.

After the Easter Bunny visit, it was off to Water Babies where I continue to splash and have a good time. Afterwards, we stopped to get doughnuts and coffee. I had my first full doughnut (because they were out of doughnut holes) - powdered sugar and wolfed it down.

Next, up was my second trip to the barbershop. My hair was getting unruly, and I was starting to look like a hippie, so it had to be done. Not my favorite thing to do, but I was entertained my watching TV and dad blowing bubbles.

So basketball practice, the Easter Bunny, water babies, coffee and doughnuts, then a haircut all before noon. In fact, I was asleep by11:55 and out for a 4 hours nap after a morning like that. I just wish Dad wouldn't insist on 6AM Saturday morning basketball practices.
